Some records hit different. Not because of the mix, not because of the master — because of the damage. The hiss. The flutter. The way a snare cracks through a tape machine like it's got something to prove.

BIAS is built from that damage.

Every element in this pack was run through Tascam tape machines and treated with outboard effects — not as an afterthought, but as the process. Tape wasn't used here for aesthetics. It was used for character. For the way it compresses, saturates, and slightly destroys whatever you feed it. The result is a collection of samples that feel lived in. Worn. Real.

At the core of BIAS are live breaks tracked on a Yamaha kit by drummer Alex Chambres. These aren't programmed grooves or sample-flipped loops — they're performances. You'll hear the room, the kit, the human. That energy runs through every hit, every fill, every ghost note. Chop them raw or layer them deep; either way they hit with weight that programmed drums simply can't touch.

Outboard processing was used throughout to push the material further — smearing transients, thickening low end, and dragging the whole pack into a sonic space that sits naturally behind dusty samples and heavy MPC sequences.

BIAS is for producers who care about the source. Boom bap, lo-fi, underground hip-hop — whatever your corner of the spectrum, this pack is built to blend in and stand out at the same time.
